weekend offers and competion from dfcss

Last updated : 23 September 2011 By Shaded

It’s been a long time since we played at home, and this weekend’s going to be a busy one.

Supporters’ club representatives will have an early start, with a
meeting of clubs in the Penman Lounge at 10.30am.

Platinum members will be welcomed in the Legends Lounge from 1pm for another afternoon of hospitality.

Students also have something to look forward to with tickets available for just £1 from the main reception at Dens Park until 2pm tomorrow. Students must bring their matriculation cards to purchase a ticket. Over 450 students have already taken advantage of £1 matchday tickets for tomorrow’s game or the flexible "six pack" offer that includes 6 home matches for £30. For more details

And Junior Dees Packs for the 0-3 & 4-7 year olds will be distributed from the ticket office at the club shop. Please bring voucher 30 from your season ticket book or, if you are not a season ticket holder, please bring your Deewok letter.

You can help fund the Junior Dees through our bucket collections inside the stadium, with 80% of proceeds going towards our next generation of fans, and the balance being split between this season’s five chosen charities: Alzheimer Scotland, British Heart Foundation, Help For Heroes, Maggie’ Cancer Caring Centres, and Tayside Children with Cancer and Leukemia.

This weekend’s guests are “Revival Tayside”, a local group brought together by people who have had organ transplants and all with the same goal - to highlight the importance of organ donation, something without which they would have been lost.  At half time on Saturday, a tug of war challenge between some of the group and a Dundee FC fans select will take place – the idea came from Revival chairman Sid Grant, who wanted to show that having an organ donated doesn't automatically mean the recipient will be weak or unfit, in fact it can mean quite the opposite.  We also welcome MSP Joe Fitzpatrick, who wants to show his support by helping sign fans up to the organ donor register; Joe will also take part in the challenge. You can read m ore about their work
