The dark blues headed for formartine after there 3.0 victory at turriff during the week,the dees rested big rab and rhys weston was once again an absentee through injury,the game also saw craig mckeown returning to his home town,

The dees started by playing keepball whenever they could and reaped the reward early on when mat lockwood picked out steve milne who slotted home after losing his marker,ten mins later conroy passed through the home ranks who were hoping the unrushing hyde would be off side,however he wasnt and hyde finished with ease.Soon after chisholm was picked out by nicky riley who unleashed an unstopable shot from outside the box that left the formartine goalie totally flat footed,the hosts then managed to pull one back before the dees restored there three goal advantage when milne and hyde interlinked finishing with hyde nodding home to make it 4.1 the dees at half time,the second half saw hyde miss out on his  hat trick and then barry smith started giving the subs a run out,the game was all but finished as a contest  but dundee kept trying to find another goal and were rewarded when leighton mcintosh rose to fire home a fine header right at the end of the game,to make it 5.1 to the dark blues.
