Trio set to go out on loan

New boy Dylan Carreiro, reserve Cammy Kerr and forgotten man Nicky Riley could all leave Dens Park this week.

While a move probably would spell the end to life at the Dark Blues for Riley, it’s exactly the opposite for the young duo.

Canadian 19-year-old Carreiro, signed on a free following his release by QPR this summer, is wanted by Arbroath boss Allan Moore.

Having impressed for the club’s U/20 side and in first-team training, manager Paul Hartley is keen to send him out on loan to get experience in the lower leagues.

Any deal may well be just until January, though, with Carreiro expected to play some part at first-team level as the season progresses.

Similarly, Kerr is also wanted by a number of Championship and League One clubs.

However, the story is not so straightforward for Riley.

Wanted by Ayr United, among others, a deal has already fell through that would have seen him exit on transfer deadline day.
