THE RUMOUR MILL'S IN FULL OPERATION!

With the extended overseas stay by Ivano Bonetti, reputedly because he's fixing up a deal with an Italian stiker, the rumour mill is in full flow.

1. Dario Bonetti and Dario Magri are reported to have joined him in Italy. Maybe nothing too mysterious in this as the players and management all have been given a week off with no game this weekend. But I received an email that claimed Radio Tay had broadcast a bulletin this afternoon that the Bonetti's had been sacked, though they did say it was unconfirmed from Dens Park.

2. Juan Sara was (another unconfirmed piece of news via an email) seen to leave from Edinburgh airport, going on holiday, or down to Millwall, I don't know. But 3 other Dundee players (names not known) were said to be with him. Again, if the players have been given a week's break, they're entitled to have a holiday. But if so, what happened to his supposed loan deal with Millwall? I'm sure they'd want him now as they don't have a free week this Saturday, or do they?

3. The most depressing piece of news, from my point of view, another email claimed Craig Brown was rumoured to be the man Dundee are after. If true, get ready to be bored by the Largs Mafia chieftain who is known to prefer old heads rather than give youth a fling. To be fair, maybe it's different with a club situation.

4. One the press have released, that Dundee are favourites to sign young Spaniard Nacho Novo of Raith Rovers in time for next season. If this is true it's the only good news to come out today.
