The Curse Strikes Again

Once more the Dees throw it away at the last minute. Again the financial cost to the club is severe. When will they ever learn?

Dundee have never won against Livingston at Almondvale, the stattos out there will know we have won there though, and once more looked to be heading for a crucial victory.

A defensive lapse just seconds from the end of time after some late substitutions cost Dundee the penalty and ultimately this CIS Cup tie.

A fine Steven Robb goal and an overall assured display had seen the Dark Blues get close to the end of this match without much trouble. Then the roof caved in.

Quite why Jim Duffy felt the need to alter the shape of the team is anyone's guess but time wasting won't be a good enough excuse in these soul destroying circumstances. Shouting at the players before the extra time began was also a bit severe considering the biggest blunders actually came from the man himself. Perhaps he was venting his frustration at the wrong people and would do well to have a wee look in the mirror.

Considering the financial restrictions the club currently play under an extra tie in this cup would have brought welcome funds in. Perhaps the fans should now do an appeal on the back of the Tully for Jim to stop messing about near the end of games? After all we're not looking a cup win just an extra round or two.....

Man of the Match on the night has to be Mark Fotheringham for his non stop enthusiasm and overall commitment to the cause. OK perhaps not!!

Next up is the Rankers on Sunday and some kind of result would be very welcome for the diminshing Dark Blue legions. Some of our best results in the past against the European minnows have come when we least expect it. Well we expect nothing this weekend so we must be in with a shout.
