chinese takeaways recomendations from posters on the board
Can anybody recommend a decent Chinky in Dundee. Got ain delivered earlier and to be honest it was Phuckin awful. Canna seem to find a decent ain anywhaur.

Where did you go? Chop-stix in st andrews street has been good anytime i have picked one up.(never thought of the place until a friend recommended) and the one on arbroath road ( beside scott fyffe) hong kong??
China Palace in Dura Street or the one beside the Seaway in Monifieth are usually good.

They might deliver. Didnae think so, foned them before cos I'd heard good things aboot them. Normally a wee bit worse for wear when a Chinky's involved so canna collect. Huv they still got the sit in restaurant there.

There's no one harder to please than myself. After years of home deliveries my favourites are either the Golden Crown, Dalhousie Road, they only charge £1.50 delivery and their main delivery man wears a Dundee top. What more can you ask for. ;D I kid you not, in my opinion, the foods brilliant, well presented, a few wee surprises, free prawn crackers and fortune cookies. A close second, the Pearl of Hong Kong, Arbroath Road, delivery £1.75 and pretty good food in my opinion. Why do these guys charge low delivery prices, when I'm expected to pay £3 for a delivery from Fintry to Whitfield (scandalous). I think it's because their food's so good that they're busy all the time and can cut costs on delivery.
Yeah it's still there, like stepping back in time!! Still got lounge and dancefloor downstairs from when it was a big nite out there back in the day!!
Hollywood on Mains Loan is great too, me and mrs wing have been using it for a while, also got something from Tip Top beside the provvie and Tak Awa beside the centenary on the cleppie. All excellent but Hollywood shades it.
Tongs Dynasty deliver(ph738322) and are good.Hons in the Ferry or Tip Top,Provie Rd although not sure if they deliver.
Just spotted the hollywood recently. 5.80 for their happy meal. Salt and pepper chicken for me. Pretty good too. Free bottle of juice also.

If it is the one that used to be the Tak A Wa beside the Centenary you are on about,then i totally agree.The best Chicken Curry i have tasted in a long time and their chips are actually edible unlike most Chinese take aways !
Canna mind mate, stayed in dryburgh for 17 years then moved to dens road last october and just been scourin the chinkys in this area ken hedgehunter
Pan asian on alexander street is the one i go to or the dragons pearl on the conshy. and just read that poeple go to chopstix, last time i got a take away from there it was qourn chicken fook that! :blue:

Splash out a bit extra and get a take away from the mandarin garden. Wider choice and better quality food imo
The three star on Strathmartine Road is very good.The Chicken Kung Po and the Foo Yung dishes are excellent and reasonably priced.They also deliver.
Have been trying a few recently and quite like the silver pearl on polepark road.
