St Johnstone have loaned newly-arrived midfielder Jamie Adams to First Division Dundee until January. The former Kilmarnock player signed a two-year deal at McDiarmid Park in May but the 22-year-old has been dogged by injuries throughout his career.
"The gaffer (Derek McInnes) decided that I needed games and I know I need games," Adams told BBC Scotland.
"When I knew that Dundee were interested I was really happy and wanted to go there to play football."
Adams has played under Dundee manager Gordon Chisholm previously, while on loan at Queen of the South.
And he admitted that was the main factor in his joining up at Dens Park.
"If any other club had come in and tried to get me on loan I'd probably have doubted whether to go," he added.
"But the fact that it was coming from Gordon Chisholm and (assistant manager) Billy Dodds I knew that I wanted to come."
