Qos v Dundee

Last updated : 09 May 2011 By Shaded

It was a long trip for the battle scarred dark blues on saturday, when they made the long  trip to dumfries, over eleven hundred dees made the trip in terrible weather.

It was evident that the dundee players efforts since admin have clearly taken their toll on the players, who appeared a bit jaded and understandbly so.dundee lined up

gibson,lockwood,benedictus,mckeown,webster

rennie,forsyth,odonnell,irvine,harkins,riley

queens opened the scoring in 18 mins when vetran johnston scored, after some good work by ex dee mcmenemin, six minutes later queens scored a second when colin mcmnamin added to their total, queens werent finished worse was to follow for the dees when ex striker mcmenemin could have increased the lead to three, infact had it not been for gibson saving kyles mistake when he slipped and let mcmeninmen clean through it could have been three.

Dundee then got the ball in the net courtesy of a odonnell strike but it was ruled out for offside gibson was well beaten by a burns header and at half time it stood 3,0 to qos. queens also hit the post and had one cleared off the line in the second half, best for the dark blues were odonnell, however the dees had done what they had to do with a game to spare so alls well that ends well
