Host in the Andy Penman Lounge, George McGregor, was next to take the mic “I am prepared to offer my 40,000 shares in Dundee FC to the Society, which I paid £25,000 for, but would only ask that the restrictions on my accessing the hospitality lounges on match days be lifted. I have proudly worn the club blazer and hosted the lounges for over 10 years before restrictions were imposed.

Scott Glenday thanked George for his offer, indicating that it would be discussed and the Society would contact him once this had been done.

Dave Ash was next – “I’m a supporter of 69 years, a season ticket holder, and used to be a shareholder but have transferred these to my son. I would like to thank the Board and the Society for all they’ve done for the club. I’ve been to many AGMs, seen less people at those than are here today, have asked a few pertinent questions which were never answered, so this board is doing well. I’m agreeable to selling shares but not if they can be sold on, at least without the club having first opportunity to buy them back. We used to have “B” shares which were non-voting shares, could we do this again?

Fraser MacDonald firstly thanked Mr Ash for his kind words, before replying to the question “this is the second mention of non-voting shares and it’s an interesting one – we could certainly look at these, as well as things like share options or first option to repurchase shares issued.

Society Director John Keith had “more of a statement than a question, that the question being put to members is not whether to sell shares, but about retaining the 51% while doing so.”
