Saturday see's the long and much awaited league season opener at firhill versus Partick.I have not saw the dees pre season as i refuse to pay silly money to watch a friendly kick about against the likes of east fife etc,how the average punter would relish a pre season friendly against a north east /west english outfit,anyway rant over about pre season friendlies and back to the important stuff,the league opener tomorrow.
Thistle always provide a stiff and stern test on their own ground and i expect this one to be no different,definately out for the darkblues however is graham bayne who has lost his race against time with his injury.
I suppose that will make life easier for barry smith as it narrows down his striker dilema and i now expect he might start with savo and young leighton,however jake hyde could easily replace either or ,apart from that i expect the backbone of last season to take their usuall places in the dees starting line up.
on a wee side note i would not be surprised if neil mcann runs out for the dees tomorow as barry has openley showed his desire to get neil back at dens and with partick also trying to sign him its a fair bet he will line up for either the dees or thistle tomorrow.
It will be a great start if the dees get their season of with a win at what is a hard place to pickup points on the road,one thing for sure is that the club will be well followed again tomorrow.
