Pars v Dundee

Last updated : 07 September 2010 By Shaded

All roads will lead to Dunfermline this Saturday as Dundee travel to East End Park. There are a few injury worries ahead of the match with Gary Harkins being the main dark blue worry, the ankle injury that has been bothering him from the start of the season has flared up again.

Back to the match in question and im sure that if Dundee show the same endeavour as the Falkirk game then Dundee can throw the gauntlet down to the other challengers and show their intentions with a victory.

Traditionally a very difficult venue to get points away from home but we have the squad to record a victory, hopefully Gary Harkins will shrug off his niggling injury and combined with our recent signings turn in a good display in front of the travelling Dundee support who will no doubt be there in large numbers.

This will have to be a team effort from all departments of the team as the defence will have to be on top form to nullify the threat from the Dunfermline forwards,i think that it will depend on which teams defence settles first as i think we have a much stronger midfield and forward line.Leigh Griffiths will be desperate to get back to goal scoring form and with te right supply Leigh will provde the goals.

Key players for the dark blues will be the whole defence,Gary Harkins if fit and the forwards, yes it will most definatley be a great team effort if we return to Dundee with full points, but i think if we apply ourselfs correctly then we will win.

The main local pub will no doubt be The Elizabeathen about a 15 minute walk from east end park, its a child friendly pub and also serves good food, however i will wait till i get into east end park before purchasing food as i must admit that they sell the best steak bridie by the proverbial country mile.
