Development Committee moves forward with objectives.
The Development Committee is moving forward with its aim of bringing all fans' groups together by meeting with a representative of the Dundee FC Supporter Clubs Association (DFCSCA) and, at a separate meeting, with club director Ian Crichton and Steve Martin, one of the consortium looking to invest in the club.
The aim of these meetings was to introduce the Development Committee and to outline the DC's proposals, aims and objectives, namely the creation of a single, streamlined organisation representing all Dundee supporters and raising funds for the club. The Development Committee were hugely encouraged with the outcome of both meetings, at which all parties expressed a desire to work together for the good of the club.
Moving forward, the Development Committee will hold a meeting with representatives of DFCSCA member clubs prior to the pre-season friendly against Forfar Athletic on 13th July. Each club is invited to send two representatives to the meeting, with takes place at the Forfar West End Social Club from 1230pm.
The aim of this meeting is to inform supporters clubs of the Development Committee's strategy and give them the opportunity to ask any questions they may have. As plans progress, it is envisaged that a meeting will be held to allow the wider Dundee support to hear about the Development Committee's proposals to modernise the DFCSS, integrate all fans' groups, simplify the Society's management, improve communication and expand fundraising activities.Mike Jeffries of the Development Committee said "There is an eagerness and determination on the part of the Development Committee to bring the various groups of supporters together and combine their individual strengths into one unified body. It was always the aim of the investment partners to work in harmony and collaboration with our fellow shareholders, and hopefully the DC’s ideas will come to fruition
