Nacho Novo Injury

Nacho Says He'll Make Sunday
Nacho Novo was spectating at tonight's Under-21 match at Dens Park and it was noticeable that he was limping. When I pointed to his left leg and asked "what's up, Nacho, an injury" he shrugged his shoulders and said "it's just a little bit sore." When he saw my worried expression and I said "what about Hampden?" he smiled and said "don't worry, I'll be fit for Sunday." And with a wink the wee maestro limped off towards his team mates.

Beto Carranza came through the Under-21 match injury free and showed in glimpses his vision and genius. I asked him how his knee was feeling after he'd came off and he said it was alright. "Need more matches, that's all."  A proper wee gent is Beto.

Jonay Hernandez made a brief visit to the Under-21 game and I wished him all the best for Sunday. He and his missus smiled and Jonay said "thank you, I am looking forward to it."

I asked Jim Duffy for directions to Hampden and though he looked at me as if I was daft he proceeded to tell me what signs to look for on the M8. "You can always follow the team bus, though, if you leave the night before."

Peter Marr denied the rumours that he had sabotaged Tannadice by pulling all the grass out and for my cheek brought a peh oot tae me at half time. "Getting too old for standing about here, Dave, awa up tae the stand tae hae a seat."

Gavin Rae and Julian Speroni were also at the game, as was Gordon Wallace, Dave Narey and Jim Leishman.
