Ivano Bonetti finally came face to face with a Dundee official. In a 3 hour meeting somewhere in Italy he met with commercial director Jim Connor. The meeting, it was claimed, was to discuss some routine matters.

The fact that neither of the Marrs were present will fuel the rumours that the Marrs and Ivano have had a serious tiff. I find it strange that Jim should be sent to Italy to interrupt Ivano's holidays for a 3 hour meeting on "routine business."

A spokesman at Dens confirmed that Ivano is still the Manager and "no one else has been interviewed for his job." The choice of words is very clever, the spokesman doesn't say "no one has been approached about his job."

The subject is still shrouded in mystery which might not be cleared up until the players return for pre-season training on July 2nd.

Dundee open the league campaign with a home game against Hearts on August 3rd, just over 7 weeks away. The first derby is at Tannadice on August 31st.
