Minutes of the Meeting of Dundee FC Supporters’ Society Ltd, held at LRJH Offices on
Monday 27th January 2014, commencing at 7.00pm
Present: Ross Day (RD), Graham Pert (GP), Carol Findlay (CF), Bob Hynd (BH), Dave Forbes (DF), Ian Baird
(IB), Colin Reid (CR) – Conference call

RD opened the meeting at 7.05pm
1. Minutes from Previous Meeting
Recap of last meeting and minutes from 13/01/2014.2. Action points arising from previous meetings

3. Financial
- John Knight (JK) started handover, Mark Tolmie (MT) to complete December accounts then JK will
check over and supply CF with a progress report.
- CF to e-mail MT.
- Last budget based on rough numbers and the worth of a adjusting the budget for the next few
months was questioned. It was felt that it would be unrealistic. A budget meeting was suggested to
put in place a 6month plan once this financial year is finished (May 2014) with a review 6months
later.
- RD stated live streaming/new website costs would be approx. £4000 and 2 mail shots (required
legally) to inform members of switching to an annual subscription will cost approx. £4000. 2 clubs paid DSA membership directly to DFCSS, Manchester Dark Blues and Capital Dark Blues.

4. Fans Representative/Club Board update
– The club requested a donation to contribute towards the players’ budget to allow for the
purchase of another player. The Society board asked the Society Representative on the Club board
for further information.
- Manhattan Works project – planning permission passed 27/01/2014
- BBC coverage – The BBC journalist has been given the opportunity to apologise but hasn’t yet done
so, likewise the club board shows no sign of backing down. It is felt that the club should be
encouraged to bury the hatchet for the fans.
5. Communications update Website is good to go with Saturday’s game streamed live. Individual match to cost £10, season
ticket £180. Sticking with Ustream as working as required.
- Live CommentaryAdvertisement to take place at Dens, suggested advertisement board/giant DFCTV on pitch, IB to
help RD.
6. Membership Update
- Once database is up to date it will be easier to manage with an annual review.
- Payment system will be added to the website.
7. DSA
- Next meeting to take place this Saturday, 01/02/2013 11am.
- Valentines Dinner – Agreed to support this event by purchasing a table of 10, Society Directors
wishing to attend can purchase tickets forspare seats being offered to Society
members or used a prizes to boost social media participation by members.
8. DFC Heritage Proposal
- SFM Heritage Museum Group meeting – a club appointed historian attending (possible Norrie
Price?)
- Wrap It – access to unneeded furniture/stationary FOC.
- Opportunity to harness history and memorabilia.
9. Timebank Proposal
- Carried forward
10. AOCB
- All DFCSS directors not to go public with any personal feelings.
- Suggested that questions be collected at DSA meeting on Saturday to be asked at next club board meeting by CR.
- Supporters Direct - £100 membership. Discussion on what information we get from them.
- Subscription to supporters direct – issue of best practice model rules – RD to forward to IB.
