DFCSS Ltd Board Meeting – Minutes
Thursday 21st of November 2013 at 7.30pm, Park Hotel.
Present: Peter Campbell (PC), Graham Pert (GP), Ross Day (RD), Mike Jeffries (MJ) Ian Baird (IB),
Barbara Tough (relating to previous financial update) Carol Findlay (Prospective Finance Director)
Apologies: Dave Forbes (DF), Chris Wallace (CW), Colin Reid (CR), Bob Hynd (BH)
Chairman PC opened the meeting at 7.35pm
1. Meeting with Carol Findlay regarding Finance Director
The Board were introduced to CF by BT. We proceeded to answer some questions regarding
the role and the board for CF before BT took her aside to discuss aspects of the role.
CF returned and explained she would be happy to be co-opted onto the board as our new
Finance Director. RD Proposed and PC Seconded.
2. Finance Update
Cheque Book – BT indicated she was happy to continue volunteering for the Society and it was
decided she should remain a signatory on the cheque book rather than CF as she was local
and would have the ability to attend the bank when required.
DC Thompson Invoice - Invoice for advertising of AGM was higher than last year. PC was
happy with the invoice and justified the expense by saying that we had done a lot more to
advertise our AGM in local papers than had been done previously and that the transparency to
members was priceless. This was agreed by the rest of the board
3. Minutes of previous meeting – 13/11/13
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved with amendments. Proposed RD, seconded
MJ
4. Actions from previous meeting
a. Mail register – Everyone should receive a copy of the local mail register and ensure any mail
collected is entered on their local register, this should then be sent to RG to input onto the
central register
b. Trestle Tables – RD to deliver to Dens for Ally King to use in the Hospitality Lounges
c. School Football League – Sponsors Photo-shoot arranged for the 5th Dec
d. Large Blank Presentation Cheque – To be lettered up and handed into Dens for future use
