Jim Duffy Was Second Choice!

Dundee have now admitted they approached Francisco Ocampo to take the Manager's post at Dens. Despite constant denials that they had sent Jimmy Marr and Jim Connors to Paraguay to entice the multi-millionaire agent to come to Dens it now appears the Sun and websites like this one were correct in their assumptions.

The fact that Jim was second choice might just make the doubters at least show some understanding and sympathy for his plight, and give him a chance.

Now the fans await to see who comes in to work alongside Jim Duffy. Ketsbaia is the hot favourite for the job and would be the fans favourite. If Temuri turns them down it has been speculated by more than one fan that Giorgi Nemsadze might come into the equation. Other names mentioned have been Raymond Farningham and even Kenny Cameron.

Even more astonishing is the news that Duffy might consider a return for Pat Billio to the first team squad. Despite taking the club through the courts recently Peter Marr hinted strongly that everyone deserves a second chance.

Marco Di Marchi failed to return for pre-season training and surely now Dundee can begin the process of sacking him.

Fabian Caballero was conspicious by his absence at yesterday's training at Caird Park. Walter Del Rio was present, though training alongside Pat Billio and the Youth squad.  Thanks to Bush spy, Andy, who was present at Cairdie again yesterday.
