Jackson rated Dundee's chances of survival as 50-50 when he took over on October 14 and gave an even more pessimistic outlook after they were hit with a 25-point deduction in their Irn-Bru First Division campaign.
But he has been taken aback by the response of the community, and said: "The response of the fans, the community and the city of Dundee has been unbelievable over the last month and they should be justly proud of what they have achieved in such a short time."
He added: "My only concern is that the clock is still ticking and I want to encourage everyone to maintain their fundraising activities over the next month.
"The supporters trust has made an outstanding effort in raising a total of £130,000 to date. However, this needs to be doubled to reach our target.
"A business trust has also recently met to discuss ways to raise funds so it is clear the fans and the community remain committed.
"It is hoped that the business trust will match the total amount to be raised by the supporters."
Dundee are also working on their appeal against their Scottish Football League punishment.
"Rod McKenzie of lawyers Harper McLeod LLP, a well-known figure in advising on Scottish football, has provided us with some excellent advice on pursuing our case against the SFL decision," Jackson said.
