Go On, Lee, The World's At Your Feet!

Lee Wilkie received confirmation today that he is in the Scotland squad to play in the Far East tournament in June, taking part in games in Hong Kong and elsewhere.

This is a huge boost to a player who has been out of competititve football for most of this season yet has proved in a handful of games that he has what it takes to go to the very top of the game.

With his contract up at the end of the season he may move on to pastures new, and if he does he will go with the full blessings of all who love and honour those who play in dark blue.

If he doesn't, and I for one hope with all my heart he might sign an extension to his contract, he would help soften the blow of several others rumoured to be on their way out of Dens.

Few can deny that a petty feud denied Dundee the chance of having the man on call for us more often then he was this season. This pettiness cost Dundee a top six place and also lost us the monetary gains of being in the top section. Peter Marr will not have failed to recognise this fact.

Good luck, Lee Wilkie, whatever happens. Your career seemed to have been on pause for a while, but it's back on song. And the tune I hear ringing in my ears is full of hope and promise. I hope and pray you find your true place among football's best. NO PLAYER AT DENS DESERVES THIS HONOUR MORE THAN YOU.
