Dundee-Mad's Best Wishes To Lee Wilkie

Got a brief chat with Lee Wilkie at 20 past 2 as the players warmed up before today’s game. He never fails to pay a visit in the Bobby Cox to Petra, a disabled fan. She only has to call his name and he’s up like a shot.

When I passed on the best wishes of all Dundee fans from the Dundee-Mad website he gave me a broad grin and said to thank everyone on the site. When I told him that on current form Berti Vogts would be mad to keep him out of the starting line up he looked pleased at hearing such praise and said "I’d love to play but won’t be too disappointed if I don’t get picked for this game as there will be other chances to come." As he left to take part in the pre-match warm up I yelled "good luck for next Saturday", and he winked and waved. Let’s hope he’s picked and plays a stormer.

When I also asked him about the rumours that English clubs were showing an interest in him he said that was utter rubbish. "I’m enjoying my football at Dens and I’m playing better than ever before. I’m happy playing for Dundee."
