Dundee Wait for Burchill and Lovell

Jim Duffy has an anxious wait on his hand to find out if strikers Mark Burchill and Steve Lovell will be fit for tomorrow's important league game against Livingstone at Dens Park.

The pair played a full game for the Under-21's on Monday night but have suffered from a tightening of their hamstring muscles since then. Lovell, just back from injury and Burchill, lacking regular match practice, are important players in his plans and would weaken his team pool if declared unfit.

Good news is that Jonay Hernandez and Tom Hutchinson, long term injuries, have resumed training and might be available, if needed, for the cup match on the 22nd.

On the negative front, the wee magician, Beto Carranza suffered a setback to his comeback from long term injury, having to come off in the Under-21's match against Dunfermline on Wednesday afternoon. This was his second attempt to make a comeback and things have been bleak for the Argentine Internationalist. Let's hope things are not as black as feared.
