Dundee v Raith

Dundee entertained raith at dens on saturday, the pitch was heavy and there was obviously an awful lot at stake for both teams,The first half was quite even and was basically a stalemate although o'donnell should have done better when sent through, big rab had a great save from a header which he pushed over the bar.

The second half was by far a better game of football, dundee went behind through another murray header, who had threatened a few times in the first half as the game progressed i really couldnt see the dark blues comming out of the game with anything as raith hacked any blue shirt in ann effort to win the game, how wrong i was,as with a few mins left dundee got a free kick from outside the box and gary harkins curled the ball around the raith wall and into the keepers top left hand corner,a stunning goal to say the least.

the dee faithful in the derry had just managed to get in their seats when the raith keeper picked up a pass back, the resulting indirect free kick from the penalty spot area sqirmed past the post and out for a corner, the ball was booted clear but with everyone expecting the final whistle matty lockwood crossed the ball back in where fozzy headered it on to niel mcann who facing away from goal spun and chipped the keeper, the ball had loads of backspin on it and went into the keepers top right hand corner this time, there was absolute mayhem in the derry as the ball rested in the raith goal, and the ref sounded his whistle for another 3 points for dundee.
