Dundee v Dunfermline

Saturday saw Dundee welcome Dunfermline to dens, there appeared to be over six thousand inside dens for the first game since the dees slipped into administration, the dees had most of the early play but it was the pars who drew first blood, with a hugely controversal penalty award.

The pars player hammered a cross into the box and the ball struck Lockwood on the arm, this was definately a case of ball playing player as the dee defender had no time to get out of the way.Gibson made no mistake from the spot, the fans were enraged, and their anger changed to fury when about two minutes later the ref once again pointed to the spot, from my position i could not see an infringement, the fans around we were fuming with the decision.

Once again Gibson stepped upto crash the ball past big Rab in the dees goal via the underside of the bar.To be fair the lad Gibson can play a bit.

Into the second half and Dundee came out all guns blazing, with Griffiths and Harkins on fire,Griffiths got away from his marker and dispatched the ball expertly past the pars keeper.Dundee then had the ball in the net once again shortly after, when higgins glanced a header away from the pars keeper, for the equaliser, dens erupted when the ball hit the back of the net,god knows what dens would have been like had the dees snatched a winner.
