Dundee Show Interest In Adrian Ilie

The latest player to attract interest from Dundee is Romanian Internationalist Bucurel Adrian Ilie.

The 29 year old is out of contract soon and will become a free agent unless his current club Valencia of Spain can hold on to the talented striker cum midfielder.

Ilie was a thorn in the side to the England rearguard in France, 1998, when he scored and played a big part in the downfall of our friendly neighbours from down the map.

He has played for Galatasaray, Steau Bucharest and Valencia in a colourful career that saw him become the Romanian Player of the Year not so long ago.

Knicknamed "The Cobra", Adrian made his debut for his country way back in 1993 and when he joined Valencia in a multi million pound transfer he became one of the hottest players in the Spanish league.

Known for his spectacular skills and goalscoring prowess, he has suffered several injuries of late but is back to fitness and would be some signing if Dundee manage to pull it off.
