Dundee FC Q&A with Barry Smith and Scott Gardiner - Part 8

The question and answer session then began, and was opened with a question regarding the number of shares involved in the investment, and how this would affect the shareholding of

Dundee FC Supporters Society, Scot Gardiner took this question.

'We can't really answer that question right now, but if you bear with us for a few short days, while we cross some 't's and dot some 'i's, what you will note is that I did not say they were

putting that money in for shares, so don't worry about dilution, it's an entirely fair and

serious question but do not worry about dilution, as I say, it is in relation to an innovative

scheme, which is amongst others that we are working on in order to get money, you get

people to put money into the club'

Next was a question regarding the stadium tours, and the cost of taking a tour, Scott Glenday

fielded this question,

'The tours are currently available, we have four people taking that on. Dave Forbes is involved, Pat Liney, Bob Hynd and Kenny Ross. I think the details are on the society website,

and anybody who is interested in taking a tour of the stadium just has to get in touch via

email or telephone. We will get those details into the next match programme as well, just in

case anyone is not on the internet. So details in the next programme, they are currently on the

internet, and I believe it is currently free, and we can conduct them in small groups.'

In the event that the club will be in the first division next season, are the clubs finances stable

enough for us to mount a challenge?

Scot Gardiner responded. 'I think I have partially answered that, I will shortly pass this on to

Mark Gallacher, but in relation to what Barry can do next season, it is entirely dependent on

how successful we are, with you, and with our prospective investors. About what Barry has,

Mark is currently working on a couple of budgets, I thought I had kind of answered this, but I

will hand you over to Mark, who will be able to give you more details.'

Mark added 'I probably don't have much to add to that, but what we are trying to do is to keep our cost base low, keep our overheads down as low as possible, so that any additional

money that we can get in, that we can attract, and that's additional revenues as well as

investment, that goes to help the player budget. If we get the support, and we are confident

that Scot (Gardiner) is going to bring in a lot of money, if we get that, then we will have a

competitive team, but it is dependent on support and investment.'

How much are we still owe PKF and the players, and what is the timescale for paying that

off?

Mark again took this question. 'The player debt should be fully paid by February or March next year, we had to pay them a chunk of the TV money we got in January, that was part of

the deal that they got a percentage of any TV money, and they got a good chunk of that, but

we are now in the position where if anything like that happens again, we just pay them off

quicker, rather than them getting more money, they have maxed out on the money they are

due, but they can be paid quicker. Hopefully they will be paid off in the summer, because that

means we will have been promoted. The PKF debt will be paid by about August 2013; we are

paying that off in monthly chunks. PKF have been helpful with that, we are paying in monthly

chunks, and they are letting us pay in instalments.'
