Why do we bother!

We start with:-

1. Speroni

2. Smith
3. Del Rio
4. Wilkie
5. Beghetto

6. Artero
7. Rae
8. Torres
9. Ketsbaia

10. Sara
11. Caballero

subs used:- Carranza; Mackay; Kemas.

There was a 10 minute delay as Dunfermline fans turned up in droves to cheer their team on to a top six finish.

And deserve it they did.

After the delay both sides started well as play moved from one end to the other.
In the fifth minute Dunfermline came close when Lee Bullen struck the bar with a powerfull shot which looked to surprise Speroni.

Lee Wilkie Had A Fine Game
Dundee hit back with Artero finding Juan Sara with a lovely pass only for Ruitenbeek to get down well to block his effort.

It was no surprise when Dunfermline tok the lead on 33 minutes when Crawford laid the ball onto BARRY NICHOLSON who hit a lovely left footed volley into the top corner of the net.

Half time

Summing Up

Good start but faded away and Dunfermline deserving the lead.

Second Half

Dunfermline increased the lead seven minutes into the second half when Ruitenbeek's huge goal kick found Lee Bullen who headflicked onto Crawford and he drilled the ball low into the corner of the net.

Dundee seemed to come back strong and had the fans on the edge of their seats hoping for a miracle.

We squandered a series of chances and probably could have made it 2-2 but Dunfermline held up well at the back.

The truth of the matter is they deserve to be in the top six, we don't. I know I keep saying this but had Ivano been here might it have made a diffrence.

I feel the squad we have here needs something else in midfield (nemsadze) and something else upfront. The loss of Cannigia certainly has had a big impact on our performances this year, let's hope Ivano has something up his sleeve.

The only plus point of the afternoon was the news that Dundee United were beaten 2-1 by hibs.
