Ten-man Dundee extended their unbeaten league run to 15 games with a 1-0 win over Stirling at the Forthbank Stadium.

Stirling forced the first chance of the game after just 13 minutes, but Nicholas Riley did well to clear Gordon Smith's near-post header from a Chris Aitken corner.

However, Dundee made the much-needed breakthrough in the 35th minute with Sean Higgins heading home Matt Lockwood's left-wing cross.

Sean Welsh and Stephen Stirling both went close for the home side without forcing an equalising goal and Dundee managed to hold on for all three points, despite playing the final 26 minutes with 10 men following Gary Irvine's 64th-minute dismissal for violent conduct.
