Match Report

Last updated : 03 March 2002 By By Paul Walker

The Afternoon started with the game being delayed for twenty minutes due to a motorway acident.

Dundee started with :-

1.Speroni
2.Smith
3.Fan Zhiyi
4.Del Rio
5.Beghetto
6.Robertson
7.Rae
8.Ketsbia
9.Sara
10.Caballero
11.Kiko

There was a good pacey start to the game from Dundee but it all came to no avail in nine and a half minutes when Craig Dargo struck the ball low into the right hand post and past Speroni to go 1-0 up. Looking at the goal I thought we could have defended a bit better.

Dundee looked as though they would get a penalty when Ketsbia went down in the box but it was'nt to be.

Dundee kept the pressure on and looked as though the goal may come but there just seemed to be something lacking when going into their box.

Ketsbia was all over the park.

Dundee's Top Scorer Juan Sara

CABALLERO GOES THROUGH BOX CHIPS IT TO SARA AT THE FAR POST FOR THE SIMPLEST OF HEADERS AND YES 1-1.

No more than Dundee deserve after dundee changed formation and were sometimes pushing four up.

Half time report.

Bad goal to loss but all credit to Ivano for changing formation and pushing Killie back. This was what we were missing this year a bit of flair, Play like this second half things will be fine.

SECOND HALF

A positive start by Dundee, Ketsbia had shot turned over by Marshall which should have been a corner but not given.

Then Gav Rae hit a shot straight over bar which really should have been on target after good build up play.

Temuri in Newcastle Days

Then yes KETSBIA SCORES A CRACKER 18YDS OUT LOW AND LEFT FOOTED INTO BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER WHICH LEFT MARSHALL IN NO MANS LAND.

2-1 up and playing well looking like may find a third.

Sara seemed to pick up an injury after bad tackle but brushes himself down and returns to play.

The diffrence today seemed to be the runs and determination of Rae and Ketsbia

Killie go on the attack Dargo makes darting run but Speroni spots it and gets down well.

Speroni then has a good save from Mahood, Killie seem to have their appetite back and are attacking well.

Dargo attacking again hes fast becoming a pain to Dundee.

Then the worst happens Mclaren scores with a left footed shot high into the net.

Its all Killie now we have to get back into this.

Dundee make a change its Kemas for Sara can he turn it around?.

Dundee again put Killie under the cosh, Dundee get a free kick which Fan strikes the wall with get a corner from it but nothing comes out of it.

Nearly over suppose we'll settle for a point then no, in the last minute Mclaren scores with a header to put the nail in the coffin.

Summing up.

Dundee started second half well but did not look comfortable when killie attacked did not deserve to lose and probably deserved to win a disgracefull result that was undeserved.

And I'm sure we are all gutted as we head home.
