Beto Carranza Sets the Dees On Fire

In front of a substantial Dundee away support the dark blues turned on a fine display to beat Raith Rovers 4-1.

The first half was full of neat football by both sides but was at times boring.  Raith took the lead after a brilliant piece of passing movements although SUTTON appeared to be offsides when he received the ball.   His finish was simply top class.

Dundee took a while to reply but when they did GAVIN RAE'S finish was superb.  It came after great play by Stevie Lovell who rounded the keeper who then palmed the ball away for Gavin to strike.

The second half saw one way traffic for Dundee.   The ever improving STEVE LOVELL set Dundee on their way to victory with a burst of pace through the defence only to slot past the keeper to make it 2-1 Dundee.

Those who read these pages know my love of the skills of BETO CARRANZA, and his goal that put the Dees 3-1 up was taken with great composure.   He gets a second bite at the cherry after neat build up play and slots home with ease.   Like the master he is he doesn't get excited and walks back with nonchalance.     Not long before the end, a superb solo effort by BETO CARRANZA.   He dances, he shimmies past several defenders, then rounds the keeper and finishes with masterful composure.  Beto, this was worth the journey alone.   Simply amazing.
