Some Interesting Comments And News Learned Tonight!

First of all Gavin Beath said his necks sore but he's fine, though he might be another week away from playing again. When I said it was a brave header that had cost him his injury he laughed and said he didn't remember much about it, but had heard that Neil Jablonski had played well, and that more than made up for his injury.

I wished Neil Jablonski all the best from the Dees fans on the Dundee-Mad website and he looked pleased as punch when I shook his hand and said he had the makings of a great player in the future, and had performed well against Hibs.

I soon learned who the trialists in the Under-21 match were from the Under-18 players.

Met Raymy Farningham who says he's loving the experience of being in the first team dug out at SPL games and still in charge at Under-21's. Raymond said the derby match was a really big game, a crunch match.

Stevie Campbell has given me a direct number and time to phone him so he can keep me abreast of Under-18 games, etc., He agreed the younger teams are ignored too much and he liked the idea of Dundee-Mad supporting them and reporting on matches.

Now, what you have been waiting for. Giorgi Nemsadze. Peter Marr denied any approach had been made by Celtic. He said this in response to two Dundee fans at the player's entrance who told him £1 million was too low a figure to sell the great man for. But when I told him I'd heard different, he just gave me a smile and the body language spoke louder than words once again.

Whilst the Under-21's game was going on I listened in on a conversation about Nemsadze. It appears Celtic are waiting to find out if they progress beyond their game against Basle on Wednesday night. If they do, they might yet come in for the Georgian maestro. They are after a foreign midfield player as well as a Liverpool player, Berger. If they get one or both of them, Giorgi might yet remain a Dee. A lot of activity could still take place over the next few days. If Celtic are knocked out their interest could evaporate. That's the one hope for wee Dee fans. The board obviously need a sale for a million at least. We, the fans, want Giorgi, and I agree with the guys who questioned Peter at the front gates of Paradise.

I told Peter about the rumour about 2 new signings. Asked him about a chat with a guy in a pub in Spain and he said how could this have taken place as he's in Dundee. Then he laughed and said, "OK, I just got here on Sunday. I was in Spain." I said Dundee were about to sign 2 big named players. He didn't deny it, just said it all depended, there could be new signings before Saturday.

I believe Gary Brady will be one of them, he certainly looked good tonight and Peter said as much. The French trialists would not be signed, that was the body language given out.

So, the way I see it is like this. If Celtic progess, as they should do, we have to wait to see if they come in for Giorgi or whether they get Berger or the other foreign player they're apparently after. If they sign Giorgi we have two targets, one of whom could be Gary Brady. The other, don't know, but Peter allegedly told a fan in Spain he's a well known name.

When I said to Paul who was with his dad at the main entrance, "gee, what have I got to do to get a scoop, you're dad's giving nothing away", Paul just laughed and said "he's no even telling me either."

Peter Marr assures me he knows Dundee-Mad and was able to tell me about recent articles that have been on it. "Scoops", he says, "you Internet guys seem to get them before the press every time."

Being in a wheelchair has it's advantages, you see. No wheelchair access, apart from the main entrance at Under-21 games. This means being forced to go to the area below the main stand which is reserved for players and families, shareholders and friends of players. Hell isn't it? Right up my alley. When's the next under-21 game so your intrepid reporter can ferret for news and meet more of the players.
