FRIDAY MAY 8TH 2003

DARK BLUES CUP FINAL TICKET CHALLENGE

Dundee are facing a massive logistical headache after learning that they'll
have just 8 days to sell their initial allocation of 16,500 Cup Final
tickets - or face the prospect of handing 4000 tickets to opponents Rangers.

The Dark Blues have been advised by the SFA they'll be given 16,500 of their
total allocation of 20,500 late next week. Dundee aim to rush the tickets on
sale from Friday May 16th.

The SFA meanwhile will monitor ticket sales while keeping 4000 Dundee
tickets for the North Stand in reserve.

Unless the club manages to sell all 16,500 tickets by Friday May 23rd, the
SFA will offer Dundee's 4000 North Stand tickets to Rangers.

Dundee expect to have taken delivery of their Cup Final tickets from the SFA
by next Thursday and will put them on sale to season ticket holders and
shareholders from Friday morning. Tickets will go on general sale from
Monday May 19th.

To ease the expected rush for tickets, the Dark Blues will start taking
credit card `phone bookings from 9 a.m. this Monday coming.

Two ticket hotlines - Dundee 889966 and 815250 - will be in operation and
the club is particularly keen to hear early from supporters' groups and
others seeking to make block bookings of tickets. The lines will be manned 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and there will be a £1 booking fee for credit card
orders.

Extra staff are being drafted in and Dundee Direct will be staying open from
8a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 16th to May 23rd once the club has tickets
available for sale.

"Trying to sell 16,500 tickets in such a short timescale present us with a
huge logistical headache - but it's a headache we'd much rather have than
not have!" said Director Jim Connor.

"The bottom line is if we don't sell all 16,500 by Friday May 23rd, we'll be
forced to give 4000 back to the SFA who will offer them to Rangers.

"We will do everything in our power to make it as simple as possible for
fans to purchase tickets over the next fortnight - we are bringing in extra
staff and will be making sure Dundee Direct is open morning, noon and night.

"The fans can really help the club however by making use of the credit card
`phone booking hotlines next week to let us take as many advance bookings as
possible.

"It's important for the club, the players, the fans and the city that we
take as many people to Hampden as possible on May 31st - but we badly need
our supporters to work with us to make it happen."

Ticket prices are : South Stand £30/£35, North Stand £30 and East/West
Stands £25.

Dundee have been allocated a Family Section of 6099 tickets. Prices are
Adults £20, children under-16 £10.

Apart from the Family Section, there are no restrictions on sales and fans
will be able to buy as many tickets as they like.

Issued by Dundee Football Club.
