partick v dundee

Dundee were welcomed onto the firhill pitch by over one thousand travelling fans, dundee defended the goal were there fans were in the first half, dundee had loads of possesion but did very little with the ball and i dont think we had a shot at the partick keeper in the first half,it was clear to see that dundee were missing milne and bayne who both failed fitness tests, young leighton and hyde just couldnt hold the ball up and were often making the same runs as each another,

infact thistle had a glaring chance when a defender headed over from six yards when it really was easier to score, how the jags would rue this squandered chance by the end of the game.

the second half was much the same as the first with the dark blues still enjoying alot of the ball but doing very little with it,midway through the half the jags started to get more of the ball and with ten mins to go i would have excepted a share of the points, how wrong did i read the game,on came riley and suddenly we were playing better, riley then got the ball out wide and put the ball over the defenders head and then was promptly brought down, penalty given and up stepped matty lockwood who calmly stroked the ball home from the spot kick,to send the dees home with all three points, not the best of displays but 3 points are welcome.
