Falkirk v Dundee

Once again Dundee took a very large support to Falkirk today,Falkirk donated £1600 back to the dark blues for the survival fund.At half time to ex dee and falkirk players Hogan and Shirra were introduced to the fans.

Onto the game and Dundee were fist out of the traps with Griffiths opening the scoring with a very tidy lob,Smith certainly has the dark blues playing some very attractive stuff, soon after Griffiths opener Higgins doubled the dark blues lead, slotting home quite easily,to send the large travelling support into raptures.Indeed the dark blues were unfortunate not to go into the interval without a three goal lead.

Into the second half and the dee's started to lose their way a bit,and Falkirk started to push, and  about five minutes after pressley made a strange substitution Falkirk gota gaol back, having said that it was no surprise to me and certainly deserved their equaliser two minutes later when the same player got his brace.

Dundee then started to look the livelier and restored their lead through witteveen who slotted the ball home, just minutes after missing when it seemed easier to score in all honesty, this sent the dee support into overdrive and sparked a pitch invasion,we will just have to hope the authorities dont penalise us for that.

Just when the fans thought we had won the game Falkirk were handed a very soft penalty just minutes from the end of the match, having read about the game it appears the penalty was for a slight push which resulted in Mceown getting booked, all in all the days of following the dees and getting value for money appears to have returned, thank goodness. From my point of view watching the dee's is again a pleasure that has been missing since last january, and alot of credit has to go to Barry Smith and the rest of the players have gelled and pulled together, hats off to each and every one of them.
