Dundee v Well

Thanks to a near two hundred strong army of volunteers that cleared the snow from in and around dens the cup tie went ahead. Motherwell were quick off the mark and they exposed mceown very easily for the first goal of the tie very early on indeed. The well player went past mceown very easily before cutting the ball back for the simplest of goals.

Dundee really were shell shocked and indeed struggled hugely to get back into the game, the oficials in my opinion were not having the best of games either,Well went in at half time very worthy 1.0 leaders and the dark blues were struggling big time.

The second have started almost identically to the first half, with well doubling their lead within minutes of the restart, the game was then brought to life by a stramash inside the well penalty box resulting in four players getting yellow cards.Dundee then had a decent penalty claim turned down before well scored another.

To add to the dens mens woes worse was to follow when griffiths took a rush of blood and was sent off for a stupid moment and of course well added to their lead. All in all it was men against boys today, with dundee being second to the vast majority of loose balls and well totally in command ofthe game throughout.
