Duffy Confirms Rumours!

Jim Duffy confirmed in today's Courier that Dundee are, indeed, after two players, with one at least requiring international clearance. This would fit in with rumours of a Scandinavian player arriving. Jim himself has said his priorities would be a tall central defender and a midfielder with some experience. (to replace Nemsadze?)

The problem is the timing of the transfers. With midnight on Saturday being the deadline, Dundee would have to set the ball rolling today if the players are to be transferred in time. There is no overlap, no extension time allowed with the transfer window, so one hitch, one tiny flaw in the wording of a document could mean a player being unable to arrive until the next transfer window opens in January.

Gary Brady is almost certain to be offered signing terms, though I expect French central defender Franck Bernard's signing to depend on whether or not the Scandinavian arrives in time.
