Sunday's game against Stirling Albion is obviously an important game for the Club, so we need the backing of as many fans as possible to get right behind the team. Please come along in numbers and make your voice heard! In addition to the game itself, it's a busy time in and around Dens for the Society and our members. * the Society have our regular pre-match Board Meeting, with Directors coming from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife and Perth for another early start; * the Andy Penman Lounge is of course open from 12.30pm for pre-match refreshments - what better place to spend the hours leading up to the match than at Dens Park itself? * our Platinum Members will be enjoying a bit of pre-match hospitality in the Captains Lounge, with a finger buffet and complimentary bar. They'll be joined by special guest, ex-Dundee star Bobby Ford for a Q&A and autograph session. They'll also be presented with a signed shirt each; * Junior Dees will have another chance to pick up their membership packs pre-match, there will be stalls in the Bobby Cox Stand, South Enclosure and Main Stand. Kids (or their parent/guardian) should present voucher 30 from the Under 12s season ticket in return for a membership pack; * and, of course, we'll have the bucket collections and will again be selling raffle tickets for the Suzuki Bandit (kindly donated by the Barry Smith Dark Blues, at £5 a pop it's a bargain! We've also got a full half-time programme * there's a special appearance by Ronnie McIntosh (pictured with the first-team squad below) - see also the story below * the Suzuki Bandit will again be on display, while members of the Dundee Bikers Forum will also be introduced to the fans. The Dundee FC Supporters Society are proud to support their Easter Run which donates to children in the local area. * on field the crossbar challenge is a 3-team affair with the Billy Steel Dark Blues, Central Dark Blues and Glasgow Dees all shooting for glory. Friday Apr082011 Ronnie Kicks Off Our Healthy Lifestyle Initiative DateFriday, April 8, 2011 at 23:04 This Sunday's game sees a step forward by the DFCSS in the first of a number of initiatives aimed at promoting a healthier lifestlye for our fans. And who better to help us kick things off than the incredible Ronnie McIntosh who is unlikely to need much of an introduction amongst the Dark Blue support. We are proud to work with Ronnie in promoting organ donation, a man who know only too well how life saving this can be. Not only is the infectiously pleasant Ronnie a double amputee, but also the recipient of a donated kidney, and one of those people who should make everyone thankful for what they have. Let's show our respect for Ronnie this Sunday and take some time to say hello and pick up a leaflet from our stand in the Bobby Cox. You could save a life. Ronnie at 61, will be doing a 1 mile race-walk from Forbes Newsagent on Clepington Road finishing after a circuit of the Dens park track at halftime during the Dundee V Stirling Albion SFL match to raise funds for the Dundee FC Supporters Society. Ronnie will begin the walk 5 minutes before half time and is timed to arrive at Dens at 15:50 before his circuit which he believes will take about 4.5minutes. We will have a further interview with Ronnie about after Sunday, and would like to thank him for his contribution to this important cause.
