boardroom catch up

New Dundee FC Director Fraser MacDonald was delighted to welcome our September Gold/Platinum Draw winner Jim Harrow of Tenerife as his Boardroom guest for the Falkirk game on 26th November.  Jim, originally from Dundee, was accompanied by his mate Alan Millar from Broughty Ferry, and they enjoyed a fantastic day, topped off by a memorable performance and another fantastic win, to make it a proper winning weekend.

Jim (left) said “we had a marvellous day, to see the team trying to play football, rather than kick and run, is great.

“Being in Tenerife, the DFCTV service is brilliant for me – I watch it all the time, and keep up to date with the Official forum and Dundee Mad site every night too, then on match days I’m glued to Tommy’s live updates.  It’s really a big bonus for me to be able to keep track of what’s going on, instead of lying in the sun!!” he said with a wink – well he certainly didn’t get sun at Dens a couple of weeks ago!  That didn’t bother Jim though, as he told us “it doesn’t matter about the wind and rain, seeing six goals and a great performance was brilliant.”

Fraser said "It was a privilege for me to take my seat in the Director's Box for the first time on Saturday, and also a privilege to welcome Jim Harrow and his guest Alan Millar.  Jim won the September draw for our Gold and Platinum members, and took up his prize while back in town from Tenerife where he runs one of our furthest flung Supporters' Clubs.

"I'm told the Boardroom was about as busy as it's ever been on Saturday, and one of the little things we can do as fans' reps on the board is to welcome fellow fans as our guests each week.  I don't think this happens at many clubs, and it helps create a really enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.  Well, the four goals helped too, I suppose!"
