The Bonetti Diaries

The Bonetti Diaries July 28th, 2008 Mamma Mia, Here I Go Again, Movano back again putting my spin on the Dee's latest exploits. Well, we were gubbed again in our last friendly, this time against Bradford City. Although they weren't men mountains like Wolverhampton Wanderings, Stuart McCall's men were still too strong for Rayne Farrell's men. But spare a thought for their boss - an Ex Hun, the same surname as an ex Arab AND a ginger. Poor lad. Rayne is wanting to take the guys further afield next close season - he's favouring the Middle East, but the team doc is worried that some of the squad might contract Qatar. Anyways, the lads' slum continued when they failed against the mighty Alloa , although Colin McMenaminamin missed 2 baby sitters he would normally have put away with his eyes closed. Rayne Farrell went berserk in the papers about his men's shortcomings (sounds like the my wife, but that's another story). But what's the big deal about losing narrowly to a big team like Stirlingshire's finest ? Scott "Robbo" Robertson and Paul "Paul" Dixon would rather cross the road and pit their wits against a Minnie Mouse outfit from La Liga , which everyone knows is just the poor man's SFL. And the Arabs get humiliated 5-1 , largely thanks to a Messi hat trick. Not your normal Messi finishing, you'll agree. So its the first league game of the season - a long trip up to Ross Country. And at long last we definitely know it will be without Robert Snake In The Grass, who this week signed for Barbara Wodehouse's favourite team, Leeds. Well, its his loss, if he would prefer to get 5 times as much money playing at a higher level, then that's his beeswax. Anyways, I'm off to buy Ron Atkinson's long awaited autobigraphy "Is It Because I'm White ?", available only at Non PC World. Ciao, Benny. Javier nice day. .
