Strong Leadership Required

This evening there is a Dee4Life committee meeting. This is probably the most important meeting these guys have had since the early fundraising days that saved our club.

On the table for discussion is a request from some Trust members that the committee withdraw George Knight from the board of directors at Dundee FC with immediate effect. This is designed to give Peter Marr a clear and direct message. Your time is up Mr Marr.

There are two distinct issues that must be distinguished here for all Dee4Life Trust members.

Firstly, never forget the outstanding contribution the few have made to the many. Do not forget the fantastic leadership shown in times of severe trouble. The Dee4Life committee made tremendous efforts to save the club. These guys should be applauded for that. All of us at Dundee made are very grateful for what they have done. Humbled in fact.

The second issue is where are we now? Well, we have a seat on the board. Or should that read that Marr has a seat on our committee? Its not clear is it?
Dee4Life was formed to save the club. As far as Dundee Mad can see the only people the club need saving from now are the Marrs. Dee4Life has done the fundraising and got the membership to be a credible fans voice. A hugely credible fans voice. So where is the noise? Not a whimper.

Tonight is the night our Trust committee will decide on the future route the Trust will take. We urge them to think very carefully about our proposition. The fans need strong leadership, the committee need to be seen to provide that.

The purpose of the Dee4Life Trust has changed. The leadership must recognise the genuine concerns that the supporters of Dundee Football Club have. Their is no future with the Marrs. They are finished.

Dundee Mad urge the Dee4Life Trust Committee people to see tonight as an opportunity to pull the support tightly behind them once again. There is a huge groundswell for action.

Please do not let us down.
