If your club haven't yet arranged an event, please feel free to attend the Race Night/ Disco that Docs Azzurri and Strath Bar Dark Blues are jointly organising.
At the end of the day the money will all go the same way to D4L via the DSA, we'll do the organising all you and your members have to do is come along and have a laugh, a drink and a punt.
The event is on Friday the 14th of July in the Hansom Cab Ardler (behind the Admiral Bar) at 7.30pm
We Docs Azzurri held a similar event for club funds last October there and we raised a 4 figure sum towards or bus subsidies/ player sponsorship etc.
That was with only 65 people in attendance.
The venue holds 220 comfortably
Between ourselves and the Strath we will do well to fill half of it between our members, wifes friends etc
Why have 100 spare seats - see if you can get a contingent from your club along.
To date we have got the majority races sponsored and the owners sold - what we are needing is bums on seats where all monies raised through entry (£3), 'bookies cut' of the bets, raffles, auctions etc will go to the URE DUNDEE campaign.
The way the event is set up there is a big opportunity to make a very sizeable chunk towards the initial target - so particularly if your club is running out of time to arrange something then please pass the word around your members and come along and support
The LBC have been in touch to say they will bring along members and any additions will be most welcome
