Peter Marr - Resign Now

Last updated : 20 February 2007 By Dundee Mad
Dundee Mad calls for Peter Marr to immediately resign as a director of Dundee Football Club.

After leading Dundee FC into administration with debts of approximately £23,000,000 we now find that Mr Marrs other companies have also been put into receivership once again putting the future of the club in jeopardy.

Peter Marr - You are not wanted, get out
In May 2006 Mr Marr announced via the local press that his shareholding would be diluted and that Dee4Life would be given the opportunity to purchase a number of shares and to become the majority shareholder in a debt free Dundee FC. To date neither scenario has been delivered.

Previously Mr Marr has given assurances that there were investors waiting in the wings once a certain ex director severed ties with the club. Once again this was a false claim which did not come to fruition.

Mr Marr has led the club from one scandal to another and has also publicly stated that he would not put another penny into the club as investment. Given that he no longer controls any shares in the club we ask why he should be allowed to remain on the board with so very little to offer?

We also ask why the local newspapers, who have been shown to be adept at investigative journalism in other areas, have given Mr Marr such an easy time given the jobs he has put at risk in the Dundee area. There has been no reporting of his business dealings or the financial situation regarding any of his companies. Why is this?

Mr Marr has been fond of blaming others for the predicaments he finds himself in. Today Dundee Mad says his time is up and he should be removed now. He has nothing to offer.

If you feel the time is right for Peter Marr to resign please email him directly and tell him so.

He and the other directors can be reached at dfc@dundeefc.co.uk

Please take a few minutes and let them know how you feel. It is a scandalous situation that should not be allowed to continue.
