How Long Are We Going To Accept This?

Another dismal defeat at the hands of Motherwell yesterday. Nothing stunning about that you might say we 've been in admin, we've lost players, Jim Duffy is performing miracles etc etc.

Well the excuses need to stop. Yes we were in admin and yes money is tight but admin Livingston won the CIS Cup and post admin Motherwell aren't doing at all bad are they?

The truth of the matter is we were underperforming with all the good players we had and we're underperforming now. OK so we got to the Scottish Cup Final six months before admin kicked in but in all honestly we should have beaten Rangers that day and we didn't. We underperformed, just as we had done against Falkirk and ICT in earlier rounds.

There are some good players at Dens park just now and we're 14 games into the league season. Thats plenty time for the team to settle down and surely they all know each other by now, so why do they play like they met at 2.50pm on match day? They are simply not playing as a team for 90 minutes each week and thats where they are getting caught out. They can play a bit as shown in flashes through the season, Utd away, Hibs away, Killie at home. So why the inconsistency?

Jim Duffy is the man who needs to get that sorted. Hes the manager. The jury is now deliberating as to whether he is the man to do it.

The Dark Blues need to win a couple of games and they need to win them fast because this team might not have the fight for a relegation battle come March or April. We certainly wouldn't back them in a dogfight against any team just now. They need to stand up and accept responsibility and show a collective will to improve performances on the pitch. Sometimes it looks like they are feeling sorry for themselves. That needs to stop. It needs to stop now.

Jim Duffy may be a good guy but he needs to get tough with his players. Or get an assistant who will. Either way the fans need to see some improvement.
