Historic Dundee FC Programme Sale

Last updated : 04 June 2006 By Dundee Mad
This Saturday evening one of the most historic, perhaps the most historic, programmes from the 113 year history of Dundee Football Club will be auctioned on eBay to raise funds for Dee4Life through Dundee Mad.

Ed Oswald (pictured right) from Carnoustie has decided to part with a piece of history that he's had since that day in 1962 when Dundee beat St Johnstone to become Champions of Scotland for the first, and so far only, time.

Ed, who was at that match, has decided the time is right to part with his programme and what better time to help out than the very day Dee4Life launch their fundraising campaign to gain control of the club.

On Saturday the programme will be taken along to Dens for the Dee4Life launch with the intention of getting Ian Ure and Bobby Cox to sign it before going to auction. Pat Liney might be there as well.

The programme has survived a bit of abuse through the years but will no doubt be of interest to many Dundee fans.

On Saturday evening when its listed we'll have all the details on Dundee Mad so people can keep an eye on the price and bid away for a piece of Dark Blue history.

Dundee Mad would like to thank Ed for this wonderful gesture and we're sure it will end up in the home of a Dundee fan who will look after it for years to come.

We hope the programme gets the price it deserves, we may even bid ourselves!!

Update:-

The programme has now been signed by captain Bobby Cox and goalkeeper Pat Liney

The programme can now be found on eBay at http://tinyurl.com/ovr7l

Happy bidding !!!
