Dundee Mad would like to offer a very sincere and heartfelt vote of thanks to George Knight for all his work as Chairman of Dee4Life over the last 5 years.
Often in the past we have been quick enough to offer our suggestions to George when we felt he was going in the wrong direction or to criticise when we've not been happy with something.
Today we'd like to say to George that we very much appreciate the time, effort and commitment he has given to Dee4Life and the crucial role he played in the survival of Dundee Football Club.
We can only guess at the time devoted, energy expended and sacrifices made by George since he took on the position of Dee4Life Chairman back in 2003.
In the darkest days many people got involved but there are few who have remained active for the duration. George has been there the whole time and has been willing to be a figurehead for Dee4Life for 5 years, mostly with good humour, always with integrity and often in the face of adversity.
The work that some of the people in Dee4Life have done will not be fully recognised for many years and the only tangible reward they will ever see is that Dundee Football Club continue to play in the Scottish League.
We say well done to all concerned but most of all today we say thank you to George Knight, you have most certainly played your part.
