Dee4Life Statement

Last updated : 09 May 2006 By Dee4Life
"The sub committee of Dee 4 Life met representatives of the Board of Dundee Football Club on Saturday 6th May and, based on their understanding that Peter and Jimmy Marr were prepared to hand over all or the majority of their shares to the supporters, the sub committee put forward a proposal for the structure of the club that would have included every supporters group and individual members having a stake in the running of Dundee Football Club. In the opinion of Dee 4 Life this would have meant a new start and a fresh drive to generate interest and maximise income.

During the course of the meeting, Peter Marr reiterated his earlier press statement of his intent to stay on the board of Dundee Football Club for at least another year.Dee 4 Life firmly believe, following feedback from members, that potential income will not be maximised by his continued presence as a director of the club.

Having discussed Trust representation at board level, Dee 4 Life Trust board feel that it is in the best interests of their membership and Dundee Football Club, to retain their current presence on the Board of Directors of the Club."
