With the news that the Brothers Grimm have finally been sent packing from Dens Park we have no doubt at all that over the coming weeks we'll see all manner of promises from a variety of charlatans.
Dundee Mad believes that Dee4Life have done an excellent job so far and we are putting our faith in them to see the job through now and ensure that the fans will have a permanent say in the future of our club.
We have from time to time criticised Dee4Life's lack of communication but at this delicate stage in negotiations with the bank we would like to assure all involved that we accept the current lack of information as a sign that things are going well and we will hear something soon.
Dundee Mad also expect that fans' previous investment will be protected and that the significant amount of money raised through the Ure Dundee campaign will be used for the original purpose, which is to gain a shareholding in excess of 26% of Dundee Football Club with no debt attributable to the previous owners.
We would be very surprised indeed to find that no local businessmen will come forward with some investment but as a Scottish Division 1 team we are also certain there will be no Roman Abramovich popping in to Krolls offices this week.
As with all other interested parties who have registered an interest with Kroll we expect to find out soon just what shareholding is up for grabs. We imagine that when that day comes Dee4Life with cash in the bank will be in a prime position to ensure fans representation for future generations.
We at Dundee Mad give our full backing to the Dee4Life committee in their quest for a successful conclusion to this turbulent period and are willing to help in whatever way we can.
We also ask that as our messageboard is a public forum that all who use it remember that what is posted there isn't always true and can be posted by anyone at all. We expect that the usual circus of claims and counter claims will continue as it has done and that you don't always believe what people pass off as fact here.
