Dundee's Alex Harris believes they can hold on to top-six place

Harris said “It’s massive for a club like Dundee to be in the top six, and it would be a great end to the season if we managed to stay there,” he commented.

“After getting the result against Partick, we need to build on it and try to stay there until the end of the season.

“Obviously we’ve got Motherwell and Ross County in the next two weeks, and I think we should have beaten Ross County in my first game.

“But they are teams below us in the league and we should go there expecting to win.

“Since I’ve come in we’ve still not lost, so I’m really enjoying it.

“All the boys love the winning feeling and each win brings more confidence.

“The manager has been great and all the boys have been really welcoming so far.”

However Harris knows Dundee’s next two opponents in the league – Motherwell and Ross County – will also be fighting for the win.

“We’ve picked up good results and we’ve got more confidence, but I’m sure they’ll be fighting for their lives,” he conceded.

“We’re in the top six now and we feel that we should be beating them, so we’ll be positive when we play them.

“It’s not a nice feeling losing most weeks and I think when I was at Hibs we only won one game in 18 or something last season, so it was very disappointing.

“Now I’m at Dundee, it’s been really positive, we’ve been winning and we’re looking forward to next week.”
