6 feet 4, Eyes of Blue, Big Lee Wilkie's After You

I'm sure most Dundee fans will be cheered by the news that big Lee Wilkie is set to return to the first team squad in time for Wednesday night's showdown with Livingstone at Dens Park.

Capped many times at Under-21 level, Lee was one of the most promising young players in Scotland, and many predicted he would go far in the game.

But a loss of form and a training ground bust up with Ivano Bonetti meant his going on several loan spells, none of which resulted in a secure transfer.

The latest bid for Lee, a paltry £25,000 by Dundee United, a mere fish supper in modern transfer terms, was turned down flat by Dundee.

Now, with the departure of Fan Zhiyi, the youngster has made up with his boss and the Sunday Post report he's about to make a sensational comeback.

The 21 year old could be just the rock on which to steady a ship that's sinking by the week. His ability in the air is unquestionable and he plays with a fire and determination that is lacking in several present Dundee first team squad players.

His no nonsense approach could balance out the undoubted flair and skills other defenders possess, and Wednesday can't come quickly enough for me.

At a height of 6'4" and weighing in at 13 stone, watch out Livvy on Wednesday night. "6'4, eyes of blue, big Lee Wilkie's after you."

Welcome back, Lee, add Dundee born passion to the jigsaw that lacks several important pieces.
And reach your true position once more in Scottish football.
